The space
Located in historic Hadlyme, Connecticut, just 14 minutes North of I-95. Blocks to the Connecticut River and the Chester – Hadlyme Ferry. Only 3 minutes to the Gillette Castle. Behind home is over 80 acres of town trust land with marked hiking trails. 15 minutes to charming New England towns of Essex, Chester and East Haddam which boast nightly live music, great regional theater as well as fine dining and casual restaurants and cafes – snowshoeing, tobogganing, cross country skiing, the Essex Vintage Santa Steam Train (North Pole Express) or just hang by one of the five fireplaces. Tour the historic New England Covered Bridges or enjoy the warmth of the holiday season and decor at Winterwood as well as all the neighboring towns.

Guest will have access to entire home, pool and property with the exception of one unoccupied bedroom closed off in West wing of home which will be vacant.

Gorgeous property features many original stone walls, several ponds, gazebo, patio dining, Sonos music system in home as well as outside, gas and charcoal grill, viking stove, wood burning and gas fireplaces and abundant wildlife, feed the deer, or hang with the horses. Guest access
All guests will have access to entire home, 26 acres, pool, gazebo, etc. with the exception of one unoccupied bedroom downstairs. There is a separate carriage house on the property occupied by caretakers or owners who are available for any needs you may have.

Other things to note
We will be accepting reservations after May 20th as the state of Connecticut’s executive order 7T is expired.
Once we are able to book we will insure all guests of the best possible sanitary accommodations after the Covid-19 scare, we will impose a minimum 24 hour turn around time between guest stays. We have also implemented the most current EPA recommendations for cleaning and disinfecting all contact surfaces before arrival. All door handles, light switches, remotes, faucets etc. As well as all Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedroom surfaces are disinfected with approved products. All bedding, including mattress and pillow covers are continued to be washed at high temperatures with disinfecting solutions.
