The Walnut Street Inn (Downtown on the Square!)

We are a small, five bedroom Inn, located right on the downtown square. Each room is uniquely decorated with handcrafted wood furnishings and has a private bathroom. We are located on the second floor of the oldest building in Bloomington which means you will be required to climb stairs. Furry friends (pets) are also welcome for an additional cleaning fee.

The space
The Walnut Street Inn consist of; five individual rooms, each with their own bathroom, a full kitchen and common area.

The Walnut Room: Has a queen sized bed, a deluxe futon sofa that folds out into a full sized bed, small seating area. The Walnut room can comfortably sleep 1-4 people and has a beautiful views of both Walnut and 6th Street. Since this room is located on a busy street we do not recommend it for light sleepers.

The Lotus Room: Has a queen sized bed, kitchenette with a microwave and mini fridge. This room sleeps 1-2 people, and is also located close to Walnut street and not recommend for those easily disturbed.

The Pine Room: Has two double beds, a desk and small seating area. The Pine Room is a larger room and comfortably sleeps four, and can also accommodate a queen sized air mattress ( one can be provided upon request, free of charge!). This room is also not recommend for light sleepers and can sleep 1-6 people.

The Cedar Room: Is our Suite styled room as the bedroom, living room and bathroom are all separate. In the bedroom there is a queen sized bed, the living room has a deluxe futon sofa that folds out into a full sized bed, and a kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge and small table for two. This room will sleep 1-4 comfortably.

The Maple Room: Is our largest and newest room! It offers a queen sized bed, deluxe futon sofa that folds out into a full sized bed, a nice seating area, kitchenette with a microwave mini fridge and table for two. The size of this room will also allow a queen sized air mattress(or two even!). This room can sleep 1-8 people comfortably.

The Kitchen comes equipped with a full sized refrigerator, electric cook top and oven, a microwave, dishwasher and three sinks (one with filtered drinking water). There’s also plenty of dishes ( glasses, bowls, plates and silverware), and some cookware available for guest use. However if you plan on doing any serious cooking you may want to bring your own pots and pans.

The common room has a beautiful hand crafted wooden bar, two pub style tables and bar stools, a cd player/stereo and a satellite television. This room can also be used for extra sleeping space with air mattresses if more beds are needed.

There is also a half bath located in the hallway.

Each room has a private bathroom with complimentary toiletries (local handmade soap,shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, makeup remover towelettes and earplugs.) , blow dryers , climate control, satellite television, coffee maker with complimentary fair trade coffees, teas, sugars and creamers. Travel size ironing board, iron, hangers and luggage racks. All linens are provided.

Guest access
When booking the entire Inn, your group will have full access to all five rooms and bathrooms, the common area, kitchen,the half bath room located in the hallway and all six parking spaces!

Other things to note
Check-in is any time after 3pm.
Check-out is at 11am.

Our amazing location in the heart of downtown may sometimes subject guest to outside noise. Please be sure to read each rooms description, as we have made recommendations based upon guest feedback.
